The road from Duong Dong Town to Thom Beach is well paved and it is probably the most enjoyable motorbike road trip in all of Phu Quoc Island. There are a few activities that you can do at Thom Beach.  You can rent a boat and cruise along the shoreline, fish off the boat, and also visit Mot Island.  If you catch a fish (or squid) you can have one of the restaurants cook them for you for a small fee. You can also snorkel in the waters off Thom Beach as there are a few hard corals in the area.

Vung Bau Beach:

Vung Bau beach is part of Phu Quoc's 40 km of sandy beaches. It is quite beautiful, the sea is very green in both rainy season and dry season, especially from this beach you can see the eye of the Nail Island. Whilst not for everyone, the prison is a way for tourists to learn more about Vietnam’s history and a reminder of the brutalities of war. The prison is open between 7.30 am to 11 am and 1.30 pm to 5 pm daily

Dinh Cau Rock is located at the mouth of the Duong Dong River. It is considered the symbol of Phu Quoc where sand, sea, sun, and stone blend in perfect harmony. Dinh Cau Rock is not only an odd-shaped scenic beauty but also a quaint sacred holy place. It is a combination of Buddhist temple and lighthouse that was built in 1937 as a dedication to Thien Hau (the Goddess of the sea) who provides protection for the fisherman and vessels that head out to the open waters. Phu quoc national park

Phu Quoc national park is one of the most attraction destination. It is home to more than 530 plant species, 50 species of animals, 365 bird species including the great number of rare species listed in Vietnam Red Book. In particular, scientists have recently discovered 2 species of rare animals, namely wolves and white monkey

Cao dai temple

Cao Dai Temple is an interesting religious site on Phu Quoc Island. Founded in 1919, Cao Daism is a monotheistic religion which combines Hinduism, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Christianity, and Islam. Cao Dai Temple has two outlets in Duong Dong Town, with the main (and newest) shrine located along Nguyen Trai Street

Cao Dai Temple easily stands out from other temples on Phu Quoc Island thanks to its technicoloured exterior and religious symbols such as Buddhist swastikas, Christian crosses, and Islamic crescent moons. The temple is open to the public, with worshipping ceremonies held between 06:00 and 12:00 every day

Phu Quoc fish sauce factories

Phu Quoc fish sauce factories hey are distributed in Duong Dong town and An Thoi town along the river. They are one of many tourist destinations in Phu Quoc. Local people began making fish sauce 200 years ago and the local fish sauce has become famous around Vietnam and overseas.

Visiting fish sauce factories, you will hear a story about the fish sauce production process and have a look at a storage containing large vats from which the sauce flow into smaller one and then plastic containers to the bottling process. Salt and anchovies are the main materials in its production. Each factory has its own secret for making delicious fish sauce. Some factories open a shop to sell their products and you can buy the best quality at their showrooms and shops
